Cyclists hospitalised after separate crashes

Two cyclists have been sent to hospital after being involved in separate crashes in Tauranga this morning.

A police spokesperson says they were called to the first accident at the intersection of Levers Road and Smiths Road at around 8.10am.

'One person was transported by ambulance to hospital for minor injuries as a result of a car versus cyclist collision.”

A second incident involving a car hitting a cyclist also occurred at around the same time on Turret Road, with one patient transported to hospital.

'Enquiries into both incidents are ongoing.”
