Reports are coming in of a crash between a motorcycle and car on the Hamilton side of the Kaimai Range.
The road is currently closed.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.

is an main highway it cannot be closed nz and police need to pull finger

My wife and I had to divert around Ngongotaha, not a big deal. Perhaps Capt_Kaveman could explain to the deceased womans family his concerns about closing the road for the police to do a thorough job. Perhaps if it were a family member of his, he may have a more sensitive approach to road closures.
