Police can confirm that one person has died following a serious crash on the Kopu-Hikuai Road in the Coromandel.
Police were called at 3.16pm on Saturday to a two-vehicle crash between Kirikiri Valley Road and Puketui Road.
From one vehicle, the passenger died and the driver was injured.
From the other vehicle, both the driver and the passenger were injured.
All injuries range from serious to moderate.
