Police investigating a fatal crash in Mount Maunganui are appealing for witnesses.
The crash involved a truck and trailer unit and a scooter, says police.
"The scooter rider was killed in the crash.
"Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash but hasn't yeat spoken with police."

A horrible accident but IMHO common sense would say that Hewletts road is no environment for scooters
