Drivers involved in a series of crashes near the Kaimai Ranges have escaped without serious injuries.
The crashes both occurred within only a few hours of each other.
A police media spokesperson says the first, happened in the lower Kaimai area, just after 7am.
'Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle crash on Omanawa Road.
'The vehicle rolled but there were no reported injuries.”
Following this another crash also happened about 2km from the summit just after 9am.
'This was a single vehicle crash on SH29, near Belk Road and Redwood Lane and it was called in to police at 9.20am.
'The vehicle is reportedly badly damage and will need to be towed – one lane blocked currently.
'Ambulance were not required so no serious injuries thankfully.”

...because of the usual idiots speeding, texting, tailgating or doing their stupid other dangerous manoeuvres in this bad weather putting other lives at risk as well as their own.
