Serious crash north of Kawerau

Two people have been injured in a crash north of Kawerau.

Two people have been injured in a car crash north of Kawerau this morning.

A police spokesperson says they were called to the scene of the two-vehicle accident at around 9.30am.

She says one person is seriously injured, while another person is reported to have minor injuries.

The accident occurred on Kawerau Road, between Lambert Road and Charterisi Lane.

I drive this road every day - it's a long, straight road with excellent visibility and no intersections. How do people crash on roads like this?
