One person has died following a crash in Matamata overnight.
A police media spokesperson says the crash happened just before 5am.
"The deceased was the sole occupant of a car which crashed into a wall on Smith Street at around 4.40am.
"No details regarding the deceased are available at this stage, until next of kin notifications have been carried out."
