A car caught fire near the intersection of State Highway 2 and Truman Lane late this afternoon.

Olly Smythe was a passenger in a car travelling through the roundabout near Baypark about 5pm on Easter Friday when he saw a plume of smoke ahead.

A car was pulled over on the side of the road with clouds of smoke billowing from it.

A police car and other vehicles had stopped near by. Traffic was still flowing through the intersection.
