Police are now able to release the name of the individual who died following the crash on Springs Road, Reporoa, on Saturday March 17.
He was 21-year-old Chase Manuel of Taupo.
Police offer their sympathies to his friends and family at this difficult time.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
