Ten sites around the Eastern and Western Bay of Plenty will be giving away $40,000 early this year for Z's Good in the Hood - that's $4000 per site.

The programme highlights the great things that are happening in Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Papamoa, Te Puke, Whakatane, Awakeri and Kawerau by giving small, grass-roots groups both exposure and funding.

'For the month of May, our customers will have an opportunity to vote in store for their favourite community group out of four chosen to be represented by the site,” says a Z representative.

'Depending on votes, the groups will split $40,000 to use towards something they need to keep their good work going.”
