Police have now released the name of a man killed in a crash in the Bay of Plenty.

Remegio Jr Nazarith Sumook died in a crash between car and truck on Ash Pit Road, Rerewhakaaitu, around 7pm on Monday.

Remegio was a 33-year-old of Rerewhakaaitu.

'Police's thoughts are with his family and friends,” says police.

'The investigation into the crash is continuing.”
