UPDATED 10:54AM: No injuries have been reported after a two car crash on Devonport Road this morning.

A police media spokesperson says the accident happened at about 10am.

“Police were called a few minutes after 10am, when two cars collided at Devonport Road near 1st Avenue.

“The crash is relatively minor, other than causing some temporary road blockages.”

A reporter at the scene says it looks as if one car has caused the other to crash into a nearby power box.

Police say diversions are in place and motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible.

EARLIER:

Two cars have crashed on Devonport Road, blocking the road.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says the crash is close to 1st Ave.

They say two cars are involved and one of the vehicles has hit a power box.

Emergency services have been called to the scene.

A reporter at the scene says the road is blocked.

"No one is trapped in either vehicle."

People are advised to use an alternative route until the crash scene is cleared.
