Comvita's chief supply chain officer, Dr Nevin Amos, is the winner of a Prime Minister's Business Scholarship.
He will take the scholarship to study at the world-class French learning institution Insead, in Singapore.
The scholarship will enable Nevin to undertake the month-long advanced management programme course of study in March 2012.
The Singapore campus was chosen as Asia is a key focus for Comvita.
The scholarships are designed to foster development of leadership skills and to help build business capability, particularly in management and international business leadership.
Nevin is honoured to have been chosen and is looking forward to participating in the course, which he expects will provide insights into international thinking around strategic business planning and high level leadership.
'The programme will provide me with a broader Asian networking base through which ongoing learning and idea sharing will contribute to Comvita's growth in the Asian region.
'This knowledge will be invaluable for building robust distribution, manufacturing and sourcing strategies as Comvita grows its international business.”
The other Prime Minister's Business Scholarship winners are Ben Gough of the Gough Group, James Kyd of Tait Radio Communications, Matthew Ensor of Beca Infrastructure Ltd and John McVicar of McVicar Timber Group Ltd.
