Bank staff time warp

Staff at Tauranga's Grey Street National Bank have taken a journey down memory lane.
On Friday they dressed in the National Bank uniforms from the 1960s through to the 1990s and today.
The uniforms were pulled from the National Bank archive in Wellington.

Grey Street National Bank staff Hayley Devoy, Sue Ede, Stacey Tucker, Helen Jarman, Carolyn Jeffery, Joady Cameron, Kathy James, Marie-Christine Belay and Sandra Horwood.

Store manager Helen Jarman says customers guessed what uniforms matched a particular decade and then donated a gold coin for Daffodil Day.
'It's nice to do something different and create a fun conversation between staff and the customers and it's a good chance to go down memory lane,” says Helen.
Staff employee Sue Ede got to don the same uniform she wore when she first started with the National Bank in 1966.
'It was fun and reminded me of the old days. The response from customers has been interesting. A lot of customers thought it was our new uniform,” says Sue.
