No election for chamber board

The Tauranga Chamber of Commerce has appointed its board for the next year without election.

An election was not necessary as the same number of people were nominated as there were positions available.
The major change for the board, however, is that there is a new president, Warwick de Vere.
Outgoing president Ian Turner is confident the new board and president will do a good job.
'After four years at the helm, I am delighted to hand over the reins to Warwick de Vere. Warwick has been a board member for two years, and I am confident he will do an excellent job,” says Ian.
Other changes to the board include David Ensor, David Lyon, Murray Denyer and Peter McKinlay, who are replacing Eric Woudberg, Mark Chapman and Mary Hill.
Chamber CEO Max Mason says he is optimistic about the new board, because new faces bring different skills, knowledge and experience to the table.
