What’s On? Photo Exhibition & Carnival

Trustpower Photographic Exhibition Supreme Award and Land and Sea category winner 'Cowboy Waterboy' by Graham Flanagan.

Good morning Sunners, and welcome to Sunday, which is only the halfway stop on our long weekend.

Yesterday reached temperatures we might say were close to classic summer, thanks to the wind keeping away, and today should be just as good once the morning cloud clears.

If you're looking for non-beach activities to do, the Trustpower Photographic Exhibition is now on The Strand. Featuring the 20 winning photos from the recent competition – which drew more than 1700 entries – the exhibition showcases captured moments of the Western Bay's brilliance. The images will be on display to the public until Saturday, April 29.

Meanwhile, City Church is hosting the Kids Go Wild Carnival in Gordon Spratt Reserve, Papamoa, from 4pm to 7pm. This is a free carnival for families with mini jeeps, bungy tramp, giant slides, swing boat, bouncy castles, merry-go-round, face painting, carnival games, under 5's area, lollies, prizes, live music, and much more, according to their event page. So if you're looking for something fun and free to do with the kids, check it out, or have a look at what else is on below.
