Westerly winds to continue

Cloudy with westerly winds. That's is what the MetService is predicting for the region today.

A large high over the north Tasman Sea is directing a southwesterly flow over the country, bringing some cooler temperatures in the Bay.

'We can expect strong northwesterly winds for the east of the South Island on Wednesday and Thursday, travelling north to affect the lower North Island into Friday,” says MetService meteorologist Lisa Murray.
