Good morning SunLive readers, welcome to the start of the weekend and what's looking like a very festive but drizzly ol' Saturday.
MetService predicts morning showers and rain this afternoon, which shouldn't affect the Christmas Markets in Welcome Bay, but hopefully the wet weather eases in time for Te Puna Quarry Summer Trust's Carols at the Quarry this evening.
If you're lagging behind with your Christmas shopping or after that perfect prezzie for your loved one, then check out the Zee Christmas Market at Welcome Bay Community Hall, from 10am-3pm.
With a number stalls offering a range of items including decor, art, crafts, jewellery, clothing and yummy food, there'll definitely be something for everyone.
There'll also be plenty of entertainment for the children like face painting plus a best decorated bike/scooter competition. All kids need to do is bring their bike/scooter done up with Christmas decorations to the hall between 10:30am-12pm to register, with the competition Drawn at 1:30pm.

If you love Christmas just as much as you love belting a song or four then get you and your family and friends down to Te Puna Quarry Park for Carols at the Quarry, from 7pm to 9pm.
Hosted by Te Puna Quarry Summer Trust, this is your chance to sing all your favourite traditional Christmas carols alongside Te Puna Quarry Choir in the picturesque surrounds of the park's amphitheatre.
Should the weather not play ball, the event will go ahead in the park's Gallery. Entry cost $5 per car, cash only. For more information visit www.facebook.com/TePunaQuarryPark
These are only two of a number of great events taking place today, to see more check out SunLive's full What's On listing below.
