What do you get when you combine two Auckland bands, two Tauranga bands, and a touch of blind faith?

The answer – one hell of a gig at Mount Maunganui's mighty Totara Street next week.

As part of the five-show ‘Blind Faith' tour, alternative/progressive rock outfit Coridian with melodic hardcore band and tour buddies Anemoia will play Totara Street on November 18.

The Mount show is the first stop of the North Island tour which celebrates Coridian's new single ‘Blind Faith' and joining the two Auckland bands will be special local guests The Eternal Sea and All Hail The Fun Killers.

Formed in Auckland in 2014, Coridian are musical brothers Mike Raven on guitars, Kris Raven on drums and Nick Raven on bass, and vocalist Dity Maharaj.

Since their formation they've played stages all across New Zealand and played gigs with the likes of Kiwi bands Armed in Advance, Skinny Hobos and Silence the City. Their new single ‘Blind Faith' follows on from their four-track debut EP Oceanic which was released in 2015.

Also founded in 2014, fellow Auckland band Anemoias are guitarist Scott MB, vocalist Alanah Paige, drummer Scotty Squire and bassist Felix Sinton.

The four-piece describes their sound as a combination of defined guitar riffs, heart driven drum beats, earthy base tones, and unique vocals that personify each song to portray a tone, story or emotion.

Having released their three-track self-titled EP with the lead single ‘Killer', they're sure to bring a live show guaranteed to have you craving more.

Tauranga Three-piece hard rock powerhouse The Eternal Sea are vocalist and guitarist Mark Wright, bassist Jared Dykes on bass and drummer Simon Power.

Formed 'only recently” and keen to keep an air of mystery surrounding them, The Eternal Sea's sound has been likened to that of A Perfect Circle, Tool, Deftones and Alice In Chains.

While fellow Tauranga band All Hail the Fun Killers, featuring vocalist Shannon, guitarist Rob, drummer Willie and bassist Doug, run the gamut of the poppier side of the alternative music equation.

With songs described as 'attacking in a musical aspect”, they're held together by catchy melodies, danceable rhythms and big 'doof doof bass” that'll make you go 'Yah'.
