Motorists travelling in the Tauranga region are being asked to expect delays around Fraser Street on Friday morning.

Tauranga City Council communications advisor Marcel Currin says one side of the road will be closed as road works take place.

'Fraser Street, near Pemberton Park, will be limited to a single lane from 9am as contractors lay a new service across the road,” says Marcel.

'All going well two lanes should be open by min-afternoon but driver caution will still be required for the rest of the day.”
