It's do or die for the Bay of Plenty Steamers when they take on the Hawkes Bay Magpies in their final round robin match of the Mitre 10 Cup today.
Currently sitting fifth on the Mitre 10 Cup Championship table, the Steamers need a win against the Magpies and a result or two to go their way if they stand any chance of making the semifinals.
The Steamers coaches have made few changes to the starting side which held on to a 38-33 win over Manawatu last weekend.
Joe Tupe will return in the number eight jersey after being sidelined with bruised ribs, and will replace Jesse Parete who has been ruled out with concussion. Chase Tiatia, who's been sidelined since round one, will also be looking to make an impact off the bench.
While an injury cloud that's lingering over James O'Reilly may see a late change to the team on game, day with Sabastian Siataga starting on the bench if O'Reilly is ruled unfit to play.
Shoud the Steamers post a win against the Magpies this afternoon, they'll then need either North Harbour or Manawatu, who're sitting third and fourth on the table, to lose their match in order to make the semifinals.
