A computer problem that affected traffic lights across most of the city's major intersections this morning is resolved.

From soon after 9am until about 10.40, traffic lights on Cameron Road, and Hewletts Road were either flashing yellow or not working.

Tauranga City Council transportation manager Martin Parkes says the problem was first brought to their attention at about 9.20am.

'We are just monitoring it very closely now making sure there are no further problems,” says Martin.

'It was just a software problem in the server, but they have resolved that, it's all back to normal.”
