She's been playing for Whangamata Club since 2004 and three other teams will be joining her to Judy will be joined with three other teams.

Judy's been practicing between two and three hours a day to prepare for this weekend's event.

'I've been practicing everyday so far to keep the arm moving and the body going, that's all you need to do.

'I've been lucky enough to be in the New Zealand Ladies team the last two years and been over to Australia to play.

'I'm a sports person, when I came to Whangamata from playing netball, I needed something to do. My first competition I went to was in 2005 – I'm only a youngie!”

Judy is one of the best women's dart players in the country.

She's on top of her game at the moment winning numerous titles from being the 2015 North Island Champion as well as the 2015 National Darts Champion and is hoping to defend her national title in Invercargill in July.

She's been able to fund herself to competitions in Australia but London is a little further away.

'We're looking at airfares costing at least $2500 and then it'll be living expenses and accommodation costs.

'I'm grabbing all the opportunities to keep going.”
