Road works on Tara Road alongside the Gordon Spratt Reserve are due to be undertaken today with the effect, a disruption to motorists.

A diversion will be in place on Tara Road for traffic heading towards the Mount from midday until Thursday afternoon.

Westbound traffic will be diverted onto Parton Road and Papamoa Beach Road.

This is to allow contractors to complete work in the centre of the road.

The work is part of the first stage in a five stage project that will eventually see the whole length of Tara Road upgraded in conjunction with the Tauranga Eastern Link project and the Domain Road intersection upgrade.
