The mission? To set up and educational market gardens for disadvantaged youth to help them to learn about growing food within our communities.

In the past two weeks, founders Rachel Yeats and Brad Harding have spoken to both residents and businesses within Tauranga in order to gain their support.
With 24-hours to go, they have reached 80 per cent of their $10,000 goal.
The money raised will go upwards their set up costs, from buying pumps to seeds and washing stations.
The clock is counting down and they encourage anyone to support and make a pledge at http://pldg.me/growfoodinstead before Thursday night.
Grow Food Instead hopes to set up a profitable, small scale, bio-intensive market garden that provides workshops for communities, paid apprenticeships and summer internships for socially disadvantaged youth. Read more here.
