Tauranga Rooster Teeth followers are desperate for more fans to book tickets for the upcoming RWBY Season 1 screenings later this month.
If the screening doesn't reach the minimum number of reserved tickets by April 20, the screening will be cancelled.

Ana Davies has been a Rooster Teeth fan for four years and would love to see the anime-influenced series with other excited fans.
RWBY will screen on April 26 at Rialto Cinemas in Tauranga, provided it sells the minimum tickets through cinema booking site Tugg.
Tugg is a booking site where people suggest a film they'd like to see and then organises the event with the chosen cinema. If enough people reserve tickets, the film will screen.
'I hope that it can hit the amount needed for the showing to be confirmed! I watched RWBY Season 1 ages ago. It would be great to watch it again on a big screen with other fans,” says Ana.
The internet-famous company has done it once and the company is doing it again – earlier in the year, Rooster Teeth used Tugg to screen their first original crowd funded feature length movie ‘Lazer Team' worldwide, including Tauranga.
From their humble beginnings of a few men playing video games and posting the videos online to a multi-staff company, Rooster Teeth CEO Matt Hullum says the growth of their company has been a 'pinch yourself” experience.
'There's not many companies I know of that start with four guys in a spare bedroom just playing Xbox who end up having a pretty large company, taking up 4 sound stages and a studio lot.”
And even though it's not new content, Matt thinks fans will enjoy the chance to watch the anime-inspired show with other enthusiasts.
'Doing RWBY Season 1 is definitely an experiment. Unlike Lazer Team, it's material that people had seen before, so we think that people are really going to enjoy it on a big screen which will be a new experience for them.
'From a community aspect, we think it'll be phenomenal.”
Matt, who also directed ‘Lazer Team', says the feature length film was created as a movie open to anyone, not just for Rooster Teeth fans, and the use of Tugg made it accessible to everybody.
'We promised our fans as we were making the movie that we wanted everybody to be able to have a theatrical cinematic experience and we were really glad that Tugg made it possible for us to take the movie out to so many locations.
'We wanted a story that was going to be open to new viewers not just core Rooster Teeth fans (who we definitely wanted to please), but we were hoping this movie would reach new audiences around the world," says Matt.
"I was really gratified when I went around to several screenings and there were often people there who'd never heard of Rooster Teeth or didn't know anything about it, they just heard about the movie and wanted to see it.”

The upcoming screenings of RWBY Season 1 will have bonus unseen content from the production company; and Matt says these will be great on a community level for local fans to meet.
'We're going to have some really cool sneak-peeks of new material at the RWBY Season 1 screening and I'm hoping that we can make that a tradition if we do more Tugg screenings.”
Matt says the fans are the ones that often help drive Rooster Teeth's content, and provided great support for ‘Lazer Team'.
'The fans were pivotal for the success of ‘Lazer Team'. They funded the movie, and we wouldn't have had the reach selling as many tickets as we had in as many places as we did around the world if it weren't for them.
'All along the way our audience and our community has really always been the engine that powers Rooster Teeth.”
After ‘Lazer Team' was finally released, Matt says one of the best things for him was audience reactions.
'It was really satisfying and really gratifying and I've gotten to see audiences all over the world now. Their reactions are different every time, they laugh at different jokes every time which is always fun and exciting.
'You feel like you're seeing it for the first time when you see it with new people.”
Seeing a feature-length film by Rooster Teeth was a fantastic experience for Ana, who says she wished it never had to end.
'Seeing their film in a theatre I've gone to many times before for artsy and foreign films was genuinely an amazing experience. As soon as it ended, I wanted to experience it all again.”
Matt says those from Rooster Teeth that have been to New Zealand have loved it here.
'Everybody who hasn't been yet is jealous and wants to go. I can't wait to come back; I've always had such a great time there. I wouldn't be surprised if you're seeing us again very soon.
'To all the fans down in New Zealand, thank you so much for supporting us for so many years.”

The RWBY Season 1 screening in Tauranga still needs people to reserve tickets before April 20 in order for it to go ahead.
Ticketholders for confirmed screenings receive a 25 per cent off voucher to use in the Rooster Teeth International store as well as the chance to buy a limited edition RWBY store item.
Tickets can be reserved at www.teamrwby.com or www.tugg.com/events/95253

Disappointing Quality

I love Anime and have been watching it most of my life. RWBY seems to be of low quality when compared to Sword Art Online (SAO), Attack on Titan, etc. The voice acting just cannot compare to professional Japanese actors. I find this with even professional English actors dubbing over Japanese anime let alone a small studio. For me, its painful to listen to when I have been spoiled by years of great Japanese performances. The 3d animation is a great attempt but just falls flat. Its unable to capture the elegance of mainstream Japanese anime. Basically, its a low budget project. Its great they tried this and its great they have fans. However, I don't think it would be a good experience on the big screen especially when there are many more deserving Japanese animations like Sword Art Online that would be much better experience.
