Tauranga's Motorcycle Club held the fourth and final round of its club championships last week at the TECT All Terrain Park.

'The track was muddy but as it was the prize giving round the riders pressed on. The sun came out for a bit but a few showers during the day made for interesting racing,” says club secretary Debbie Simmonds.

'It made for a lot of muddy bikes and riders but in the end all three of the competition races were completed.”

For the young ones the score represents the best times from throughout the championship while the adults go for the total of all four rounds raced this year, though they were allowed to drop points of the worst race of the year.

Dust and rain have caused a lot of havoc on the new track this year, but the club committee believes this is now under control.

Next year's championship is expected to kick off in September.
