Otumoetai Football Club are looking to help strengthen girls' junior football in the region by hosting a Girls' Night Out this Friday at Fergusson Park.
Otumoetai Football Club manager Barry Lusher says the event, which kicks-off at 4.30pm until 6pm, is to help support New Zealand Football's national police regarding a girls' only junior teams' competition.

Girls of all ages are welcome to head along.
'This will be a fun filled time with onsite activities such as the FIFA inflatable shooting goal, a bouncy castle, Dialled Indoor Trampoline and a free sausage sizzle.”
Also attending the event will be WaiBOP Football women's football development officer Holly Nixon.
Holly will take the girls through various football skills in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
The 25-year-old has been playing football since she was a young girl and has played New Zealand age group football.
She says there has been a surge the popularity of girls' football and WaiBOP Football is interested in starting up an all girls' football league.
Barry says the event was weather dependant but was sure a lot of young girls would turn up to have a go at the fun-filled event.
The club manager also confirmed the club's junior trials will take place on February 28, with grades 8 and 10 kicking off at 9am, grades 9 and 11 at 11.30am and grades 12 and 13 at 2pm.
