Teddy Stanaway is moving from the grandstand to the field as the 1.85m tall mid-fielder taking to the field in an All Blacks Sevens jersey.
In 2014 Teddy Stanaway was part of the Cake Tin crowd watching the All Blacks Sevens beat South Africa 21-0.

That day he was dressed as Redfoo from LMFAO. But this year, he is making a different appearance as a player.
Winding back the clock two years, Teddy says it was a great day out with his mates.
'I had a big afro on and I went as Redfoo from LMFAO. It was shocking. It was kind of before I'd even played sevens,” Teddy says.
'So I was there as a spectator, just sitting there watching the environment, I remember thinking, ‘how cool it would be to be on the field'. Now having the opportunity to jump on the field. It would be a dream.”
Teddy is one of two Bay of Plenty players named in Sir Gordon Tietjens' 22 man squad preparing for the third leg of the HSBC World Series, in Wellington.
'Me personally, I feel like I'm building. Sevens is quite new to me. My progress from that tournament to other tournaments, I just keep getting better I feel with my understanding of the game,” says the 26-year-old father of three.
Sir Gordon names his playing squad of 12, for the Wellington tournament on Monday and Teddy will be hoping to hear his name called out.
'I'm just excited to have the opportunity to go down there and put my hand up for the Wellington squad. It's sort of every kid's dream to be able to play in Wellington. That's kind of the tournament that everyone watches over here.”
Rotorua's Isaac Te Aute is the other Bay player selected in the squad which includes three new names to the squad; Josh Van Lieshout, Sione Molia and Billy Ropiha.
A fit Sonny Bill Williams is likely to be named in the playing 12 for the January 30-31 tournament.
The squad is: Kurt Baker, Dylan Collier, Sam Dickson, Akira Ioane, Rieko Ioane, Gillies Kaka, Antonio Kiri Kiri, Ben Lam, Josh Van Lieshout, Tim Mikkelson, Lewis Ormond, Augustine Pulu, Billy Ropiha, Ardie Savea, Teddy Stanaway, Isaac Te Aute, Isaac Te Tamaki, Beaudein Waaka, Regan Ware, Sonny Bill Williams, Joe Webber.
