Although WaiBOP United remain outside the top four of this year's ASB Premiership, a repeat performance of last week's match against Waitakere United will have them back in contention.

WaiBOP dominated cellar dwellers Southern United last week, beating the Southerners 3-0.

The red and blues host Waitakere United at FMG Stadium Waikato on Thursday at 7.35pm, who have also come off a confidence booster 4-1 win over Wellington Phoenix.

Both teams sit mid-table with WaiBOP currently in fifth position on the table with 12 points, while Waitakere are in sixth place with nine points.

Leading the premiership is Auckland City FC on 17 points, followed by Hawkes Bay United (15), Canterbury United (15) and Team Wellington (14).

Possibly the match of the round will be between Team Wellington against Canterbury at Wellington's David Farrington Park on Sunday at 2pm.

Both Auckland City and Hawke's Bay have relatively easy matches with Auckland up against the Phoenix and Hawke's Bay heading to Dunedin to take on Southern United with both matches being played on Sunday.
