Northern Regional Women's Sevens winners Counties Manukau will compete for tournament honours, alongside current competition holders Auckland, Southern Regional Women's Sevens winners Canterbury and Central Regional Sevens winners Manawatu.
The Bay of Plenty Provincial Sevens tournament will be the final opportunity for teams to prepare ahead of the Bayleys National Sevens kicking off on January 16 at Rotorua International Stadium.
Bay of Plenty Papamoa Beach Tavern men's team is a team mixed with experience, featuring the return of All Blacks Sevens squad players' Isaac Te Aute and Teddy Stanaway.
'We have some experienced players back into the fold. This will no doubt lift the less experienced players' in our squad,” says Coach Peter Woods.
'The squad are all excited about this weekend and are looking forward to putting in a good performance.”
Tickets are available for purchase from the gate; $5 for adults and free for children 14 years and under.
Gates will open at 8.30am with the first match kicking off at 9.00am. For full draw click here.
