There was plenty of action to see at this year's Eve's Triathlon – Shorebreak Aquatics this year.

More than 500 people came to watch the different age groups take part in the event at Mount Maunganui Main Beach.

Competitors took took on either the Sprint; 750m swim, 16km cycle and 5km run or the Super Sprint; 375m swim, 8km cycle and the 2.5km run.

The event had competitors from 12 and under through to the open men and open women's division. Here are some photos from today's event.
