Golf used to be a man's domain, but with golfers like Lydia Ko dominating the world stage, it's fast becoming popular with the country's young female population.
New Zealand Golf has sought the aid of five high profile Kiwis to help encourage young women into the sport.

Lydia Ko, Jamie Curry, Amber Peebles, Toni Street and Laura McGoldrick have become Golf Ambassadors for the 'She Loves Golf” campaign.
Launched last Sunday, the campaign will see events in Tauranga and throughout the rest of the country.
From pop-up street activities to competitions and club open days, there will be something for everyone, regardless of skill levels.
So golfers, grab your female friends and family members and invite them to come down and give golf a go.

Isn't a designated day enough for the ladies? Courses will get clogged up if too many are encouraged to play. Not too bad if they play like Lydia but most just get in the way and spoil it for the men.

You're real cherfull aren't ya pall. The ladies have just as much right to be on the course as us men do. More players means more money for the course's which means better course's..... You do the maths.
