Organisers of the now defunct McLaren Valley Music Festival are reminding ticket holders that refunds must be processed by Wednesday, November 18.

Tickets can be exchanged for Echo Festival tickets, with a refund for the cost difference. Full refunds on festival and camping tickets are also available from point of purchase.

The McLaren Valley Festival was cancelled last month when it became apparent that the venue had not been secured when details of the three-day event went public in July.

Resource consent for the festival had to be filed with the Western Bay of Plenty District Council, but by October 15, the authorities admitted there had been no application.

The show was cancelled and organisers announced an Auckland venue would be found. Tickets for the replacement two-day Echo Festival at Auckland's Vector Arena go on sale on Friday, from 9am, via Ticketmaster.

Two day tickets are priced from $199 with single day tickets available from $119. Children aged 12 years and under are free and youth tickets are available for those aged 13-16 years. Family passes are also available.

Multi-award winning Aussie songstress Courtney Barnett has been added to the line-up, and she joins Disclosure, The Flaming Lips, Jamie xx, Mac De Marco and Elliphant for the two-day festival on January 11 and 12.
