Sport Waikato wants to hear from people who have a project that will get more school aged students involved in organised sport.
The regional charitable trust wants to help sports organisations, clubs, and schools at a local level through the Government funded KiwiSport Waikato Regional Partnership (RPF) initiative.
Sport Waikato says this is an opportunity for groups to apply for funds that will help launch projects which align with community priorities and KiwiSport outcomes.
'The KiwiSport Regional Partnership Fund helps to get more school-aged students (aged 5-18) participating in organised sport, with more opportunities and the potential to develop better skills.”
Applications are now being sought for the Community Partnership and Kick Start Funds for the Waikato region.
The Community Partnership Fund allows for Sporting Organisations, School clusters and Clubs to apply for funding for projects that target community needs.
Applicants are required to partner with organisations to deliver sporting projects that aim to achieve KiwiSport outcomes and meet community priorities with regards to youth participation in sport.
'The Kick Start Fund is just that, a fund that helps clubs, schools and community organisations to kick start a new sporting project,” says Sport Waikato.
Applications for the Community Partnerships and Kick Start Funds close on November 15.
