Bay of Plenty golfer Danny Lee has pocketed $1.8 million after finishing in a tie for second place in the Tour Championship, with world number one Jordan Spieth taking the title.
Danny, 25, shot a five-under 65 in the final round at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, leaving him tied for second, some four shots adrift of American Jordan.

He finished at five-under for the tournament, along with former US Open winner Justin Rose of England and Swede Henrik Stenson, who sunk a 57-foot putt for birdie on the final hole.
Danny will move into the world's top 50 after his latest performance.
He slotted seven birdies and two bogeys as he climbed from seventh on the leaderboard in what was the second-best round of the day.
After four birdies on the front nine, a bogey on the par four 10th was swiftly cancelled out by a birdie on 12, where he sunk a 31-foot putt.
He bogeyed 13, then bounced back with birdies on the following two holes.
The Korean-born golfer will end the season ranked number nine on tour points.
