Fraser Street between 14th Avenue and 16th Avenue is closed from Wednesday, January 12 until Friday, January 21.
It is being closed as part of the Hairini Link advanced works project and the NZ Transport Agency is reporting it will allow essential road works to be carried out as quickly as possible.
One lane in each direction on 15th Avenue will remain open and access to nearby homes and shops will be maintained at all times.
Detours will be in place and motorists can expect delays.
People are encouraged to take an alternative route where possible.

The NZ Transport Agency is also advising buses that travel on the affected roads are being run free of charge for passengers through this period and up until Sunday, January 23.
Affected bus routes are 36, 40, 45 and 55.

There is no good reason for this road disruption it reeks of poor planning poor execution and snails pace workmanship.Imagine the traffic chaos & disruption when the TCC idiotic illconceived Southern PIpeline rears its ugly head - wouldn't want to be a resident or motorist anywhere near this rubbish once TCC get involved.

Hey Ratcatcher, if you have nothing positive to say, keep quiet. Second story I've seen with your negative comments.
