Cooking up a storm in the Pak'n Save Tri-Theatre at ASB Arena today, Kasey and Karena Bird are being crowned the top act by event organiser Graeme Martin.

'They were outstanding,” says Graeme. 'Entertainment as well as cooking, those girls have got it. We were thrilled they could come.”

The MasterChef Birds are battling it out in the 300-seat Pak'n Save Tri Theatre for the Farmer Jones Beef Challenge today, alongside many more live demonstrations by more top chefs.

MC'd by Tauranga's favourite celebrity chef and author Peter Blakeway, the five-daily main stage sessions begin at quarter past the hour, every hour.

Serving up quality cuisine will be Trinity Wharf's Simon Green, Mount Bistro's Stephen Barry, The Real Foodie's Aidan Galloway and Motu Kitchen's Ian Kerry.

Elizabeth Café's Andrew Targett, Mills Reef's Atilla Kovac, Love Rosies' Brent Beamish and Spongedrop's Danielle Cubis will also be there to cook.

'The triple theatre is definitely the highlight of the show,” says Graeme.

Event-goers are most likely to spot many more familiar faces there too, including the face of MasterChef New Zealand Simon Gault and the country's now loved-up bachelor, Art Green.

Today is the final chance for visitors to taste their way around more than 130 exhibitors showcasing all sorts of yummy products at the two-day event.

Graeme says with almost 4,500 people visiting the show on Saturday, it's a packed house again today.

'There's a sea of people here. The place is just pumping at the moment. I could guess there's more than 2000 people on site as I stand here. The room can't take many more than that!”

The Seriously Good Food Show is at ASB Arena, Baypark, until 5pm today. All-day ticket prices cost $12, with a special $10 price for the afternoon session from 1pm-5pm.

Loved the food show. Always great fun trying the different foods and drinks. I think it was a bit smaller this time though! I think it would be a great idea if the Arena could maybe have another food show closer to Xmas.
