Bay Rodders Tauranga has the cure for anyone suffering from the winter blues this year: a trip to the circus!
Their WinterBlast 2015 Fun Run and Swap Meet drives into town this weekend and this year's theme is ‘Welcome to the Circus'.

Spokesperson Cathi Barker says WinterBlast is an opportunity for their members to meet other car club members from all over New Zealand.
'Last year there were 63 cars and over 146 people registered from 14 clubs from as far as Whanganui, Whangarei and even Queensland in Australia.
'It's so nice to see regulars and new comers, this year's turn should be excellent and everyone in the club is really excited as this is an event with so much fun.”
Friday night starts the event off with a registration plus meet and greet evening at Hotel Armitage on Willow St, from 6-8pm.
For people staying at the hotel: quote 'Winter Blast” when you book and you'll go into the Prize Draw for a night's accommodation free.
Saturday morning everyone will gather at the hotel where Bay Rodders president Dean Anderson will say a few words before everyone embarks on a mystery run at 10.30am.
'It's for a couple hours around the region and there'll be stops where silly activities have to be performed, it'll be great!”
'Last year we have to do the Super Hero jump into a pit of foam at the Manic Room in the Mount, and there were other games like Sticky Balls.
'People covered their noses with Vaseline, put their hands behind their back, and stuck their noses into cotton balls before running to a table and blowing the cotton balls into a bowl, it was hilarious.”

On the cruise lunch will also be provided and this will be catered by members of Bay Rodders.
Then from 6.30pm a dinner will be held for guests plus a prize giving at Hotel Armitage, with live music provided by Whangamata band Roadrunner.
This year's theme is ‘Welcome to the Circus' so there will be a huge array of costumes which Cathi says should be absolutely hilarious.
'In 2014 the theme was ‘Red Carpet' and everyone looked stunning, it's incredible the work people put into dressing up for this night.
'This year we have a fantastic smorgasboard dinner and a large prize giving, with awards things like for best performances during the mystery cruise, hard luck prizes, and a prize for people who've travelled the furthest to get to the event.”

Wrapping up the event will be Sunday's swap meet in the Durham St Carpark, which will take place from 9am to 2pm.
A number of beautiful cars will be on display and the public is most welcome to pop down to catch a peak at all the vehicles.
'The cars and the car owners enjoy walking around the stalls finding car paraphernalia, relaxing with friends and preparing for the journey home
'My husband and I have our costumes ready and a house full staying with us that weekend and we're really looking forward to it – we can't wait!”
