One of the 14-15 year old boys arrested by police on Tuesday for involvement in an amateur demolition derby using stolen vehicles on public roads is again in trouble with the law.
Upon leaving the Hamilton courthouse on Tuesday for his appearance related to the demolition derby, police say he stole a vehicle which he then drove and crashed near Otorohanga on Wednesday morning.
Otorohanga police Sergeant Andrew Connors says the 14-year-old boy breached his bail conditions when he stole the Ford Laser from Hamilton.
'This morning we received a call at about 5.30am about a car abandoned on State Highway 31, outside Otorohanga,” says Andrew.
'Responding officers encountered three boys being treated by ambulance staff at the intersection of Honikiwi Road.
'It turns out the 14-year-old driver had crashed the car into a bank and the three occupants abandoned the car and were picked up by a good samaritan who then called an ambulance.
'They were then dropped off at the intersection.”
Andrew says a 13-year-old travelling as a passenger in the car suffered neck injuries in the crash and was taken to Waikato Hospital by ambulance.
'Two 14-year-olds are currently being interviewed by police and the driver is facing a variety of charges from theft of a motor vehicle, breaching bail and driving offences causing injury.
'We will be appealing bail when he appears in court today.”

This little baby thinks he can drive - clearly he is wrong! Clearly he is not ready for a car yet, and clearly he has no respect for the law or other peoples property. Where are his bloody parents, and why does this sproggett feel that its okay to get arrested twice in a day??! Lock him up! He is clearly thumbing his nose at the system and those who live within it. He obviously knows that the penalty is so pitiful he has nothing to worry about. Well SURPRISE HIM! Set an example of him, that other kids can learn by! Headline "Teen ****** gets a holiday with the BIG BOYS!"
Lock him up

I was looking for an article on the young ones who crashed a car on my street Sunday 3am. At least 5 took off in different directions leaving car stuck in my neighbours concrete fence. It was hillarious when a lady turned up 20min later and told the police "My son did this" the boys had turned up at her place. What a good Mum!!!
