UPDATED 10.25am: The Auckland Westpace Rescue Helicopter trust say the person involved in this morning's crash on Manaia Rd is a female in her late teens.
The woman was the single occupant of the vehicle which had left the road at high speed and rolled multiple times, before coming to a stop 40 metres down the bank sometime before 7am.

The woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle which crashed 15km south of the Coromandel township. She was discovered lying beside the car by emergency services.
'She was an extremely lucky girl,” says Intensive Care Flight Paramedic Rob Gemmell, 'considering the damage to the car.”
The Auckland Westpace Rescue Helicopter airlifted the teenager to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition.

One person has been airlifted to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition after their vehicle went down a bank on Manaia Rd this morning.
Northern Fire Communications senior communicator Dallas Ramsay says the crash occurred about 15km south of the Coromandel township some time before 7am.
'A vehicle has gone down a bank and one person was discovered lying beside the car,” says Dallas. 'The injured person was the sole occupant of the vehicle and has since been removed from the scene by helicopter.”
The injured person was stretchered from the site of the crash by Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter, assisted by St John, police and fire staff.
The rescue helicopter is currently transferring the patient to Waikato Hospital.
