When Graham and I began this blog the objective was (and still is) to bring forth Op-Eds, views and information that you'd not normally see in the mainstream media – to date we believe we've done just that.
From Monday to Friday we do our best to bring you a daily post on issues including welfare reform, economics, and general current affairs…oh, and the odd music and art post. We do this because we care – not in a hugs and kisses kind of way, but more a life and death kind of way. We believe that the biggest threat to civilized society is BIG GOVERNMENT! More specifically, most of the issues we face from rising crime, welfare dependence, unemployment, recession, and a myriad of other problems we face as a society can, at root, be found in the growing interference of the State. From day one we've pointed out that there is no fundamental difference in the political parties; only at the edges (very fine edges at that) can any so-called differences be seen. We've pointed out the hypocrisy of politicians, we've shown what happens when people get their snouts in the trough, we've defined what it means to be a 'businessman”, and what it means to trade as opposed to lobbying (see Priority One).
Why am I telling you this? Because it's time for a reminder that neither of us has the courage to pretend that all is well with our world, we've no inclination to simply take it good and hard, we will speak out against socialism wherever it raises its head and hope that so will you.
On that note we'd like to re-invite you all to contribute using the comments section of our blog. Also, I'd personally like to thank those of you who have either commented so far, or have been kind enough to tell me 'well done” in person.
Now, on with the daily post: today's post is from George Reisman; this guy is by far my favourite economics commentator…Geez if only he was listened to eh?
