From Keynes to Key

Have you noticed how easy it is to be distracted away from what is really important?

The Hone and Rodney show has kept us all focused on issues that, on the scale of things, aren't really that important. While all this stuff was going on Bill English was signing us (and our children) up to borrow billions of dollars to pay for government spending. It's a good thing that we keep an eye on current affairs - but it is even more important that we keep an eye and ear on those just out of direct scrutiny's range. Today I've posted a link to a pretty long essay about John Maynard Keynes, the man who thought: tax, spend, borrow, tax, spend, borrow, was the way to prosperity – it seems that Bill English and John Key think the same. Go have a read and tell me what you think.
