Comfort food for the winter

It would be Sunday afternoon, we would have just finished a bowl of pasta and then out comes Mamma's Chicken Drum Sticks with a fresh green salad. You know in your mind you couldn't; you shouldn't; but temptation takes over yet again.

I am sure you have guessed that the following recipe is one my Mother makes and I still love to this very day. It is perfect any time, for lunch dinner or even to impress at the up and coming picnics. It is so versatile and can be eaten warm or cold. Only problem is, it just keeps you going back for more. If you have fresh herb's growing in the garden, chop some up and put a few tablespoons into the breadcrumbs – as long as they compliment the chicken that is.

Mamma's Crispy Mustard Chicken

Heap of bread crumbs

1 cup of plain flour
3 eggs

3 Tbsp of American mustard

1/2 cup of grated Colby cheese
8 chicken drum sticks

Salt and pepper to taste
