When I am working with people, I notice the moment they have an ‘aha moment'. To others it may be a simple thing, but for the one experiencing that moment it can influence many parts of their life. I remember reading about a man who was looking at a tree stripped of its leaves. He reflected that before long leaves would appear, then flowers and finally fruit and this thought gave him so striking an idea of the providence of his Creator that it had never been removed from his spirit and impacted his whole life. To others this observation may seem so obvious as not to be worth much consideration – it is all about being open to that moment when it comes, rather than being resistant.
