This luscious full-bodied Viognier exudes intense peach and apricot aromas and flavours with a hint of pears. The subtle oakiness adds complexity to this deliciously smooth and creamy wine.

The grapes for the Reserve Viognier were sourced from two low-yielding vineyards located in the renowned Gimblett Gravel district of Hawke's Bay.

These low-yielding vines produce superior grapes showing intense fruit flavours and pure varietal expression.

The winemaking philosophy behind this wine is to achieve balance of flavour, structure and texture; with this certainly achieved.

A stunning wine to serve this autumn with Asian dishes or a hapuka steak accompanied by a slightly spicy salsa. Enjoy! Check out the video interview with Dan Shea on www.sunlive.co.nz

The Weekend Sun has a bottle of 2010 Reserve Viognier to give away to a lucky reader who can tell us where the Gimblett Gravel vineyard is located.
