Remind me again how to win...... keep very quite, smile and let apathy do the rest. Those who didn't vote, or who just ticked the boxes on the names they recognised from the media or passing billboards by the roadside, shame on you. But thats democracy!
I've missed something

What a shocker, where is this exciting new line up Baldock and Molloy have been there before. The only new face to council is Tony, and good luck to him.

I am stunned at the apathy of so many Tauranga residents, and the stupidity of the rest. Or maybe they are happy with the forecast 17% rates rises over the next three years, required to pay for frivolous spending and gross mismanagement. I guess now you will all be surprised when the forecast turns out to be much lower than reality. Because it almost certainly will. Or will you all be honest and provide the editor with no letters complaining about the cost of living here?
Fed Up!!!

I agree 100% about staff and CEO running the Council. Council has failed as far as I am concerned when it comes to helping people with everyday issues. Ive given up on democracy, the council is nothing but a bureaucratic disaster.
The sheeple have voted

The outcome of this election reminds me of the proverb "People eat ****. 10 billion flies can't be wrong. Democracy, in its current form, seems to be the autocracy of a few cunning circles with controlling and potent lobbies supported by propaganda of some media. The ignorant majority ‘mandate' of the voting masses is used for concerted agenda. Most pivotal parts of this machine are formed by the elite's cronies and benefactors. Crosby is part of this morose system. "A nation of sheep will be governed by wolves." ---Edward R. Murrow--- Beam me up, Scotty.
Cant believe it!

I have lived in Tauranga all my life and seen it pushed into a city that is choking itself. My only thoughts about how this result became about is that there are by far too many rich people living here that do not give a damm about how much they pay in rates. They also obviously do not care when asked what they want, get the opposite because of a few "old boys" who are going to do it anyway...... I know there must have been a lot of disillusioned citizens out there, but you did the wrong thing by not voting. We now have to suffer your consequences.....Just watch the demise of the CBD....
Disaster

Crosby has got two new members to his rat pack so more ridiculous high rate increases over the next three years paying for grandiose "nice to have" unneccessary projects. Let's stick to the urgent "must have" projects. The way this city is going it will turn into a national disaster.

Tauranga-City of Sheep
Posted on 20-10-2010 20:30 | By may-hem
Tauranga is a city of sheep. Why you ask? They blindly follow "the leader" ,unfortunately this "leader" is taking them directly into the wolves lair, and the "leader" is just a wolf in sheeps clothing. His "pack" are waiting in the lair to tear apart the sheep (city). So for those of you who didn't vote, no bleating from you for the next 3 years when we all suffer from astronomical rates increases.
SHOCKED HAS IT !
