GST rise: windfall or whimper?

The rate of GST is set to go up to 15 per cent in New Zealand on October 1 and this is creating some uncertainty for the public.
It is part of the National Government's tax change package announced in this year's Budget.

In the video below, Tauranga MP Simon Bridges talks about the new tax changes that come into effect from 1 October.

In the video Simon explains how the tax changes and how much money the changes will put into people's pockets depending on income.

I watched the video and Simon Bridges said that the GST is going up by 15% so in laymans terms and how others would see it ,it is going up 15% in total 27.5% and that is how it came over and what he should have said GST is going up 2.5% and that would sound better .Men in his position should not make this type of mistake
