Papamoa meets the candidates

Papamoa residents will have the chance to put the hard questions to Bay of Plenty candidates in the general election as part of a ‘Meet the Candidates' event tomorrow night.

Papamoa Progressive Association is organising a meeting involving National Party candidate Todd Muller, Labour's Clare Wilson, NZ Independent Coalition leader Brendan Horan, NZ First's Ray Dolman, and United Future's Ben Rickard.

Labour's Clare Wilson is one of the candidates due to be in the meeting.

Papamoa Progressive Association chairman David Hill says residents are invited to submit their questions for the candidates through a moderator so it doesn't get out of hand.

All the public are welcome to attend. The meeting will be held at the Papamoa Sport and Recreation Centre, Gordon Spratt Reserve, from 7.30pm on Monday.

The general election will be held on September 20.
