The case concerning a Tauranga Boys' College teacher, who was wrongfully accused of appearing in a sex tape, is closed says the school's principal Robert Mangan.
Drama teacher Francoise Lewis was suspended on full pay for 10 days after being mistaken for a woman in a sex tape.
When SunLive spoke to Robert, he refused to comment and only stated 'we consider the matter closed”.
Tauranga Boys' College principal Robert Mangan is remaining tight lipped about a member of his staff who was suspended for ten days after she was wrongfully accused of appearing in sex tape.
Tauranga Boys' College chairwoman Gillian Gemming says the teacher concerned is still a valued staff member.
'The outcome is that the board and principal are satisfied that the complaint, which they accept was in good faith, was the result of a case of mistaken identity,” says Gillian.
She says the investigation was carried out as quickly as possible and the teacher fully cooperated.
The suspension reportedly took place when the school's board of trustees received a formal complaint about the woman in the sex tape, who was initially thought to be the Tauranga Boys' College teacher.
'We also wish to make it clear that the staff member concerned remains a valued member of our staff. We now consider this matter closed,” says Gillian.
